Dear Folks:
Can anyone advise me on programing or building or tweaking the i4S's
sounds to create voices/programs which are more like those of the pipe
organ family?
I am a keyboardist playing for a very small, wonderfully fascinating and
liberal Mennonite congregation. Except for a few who will never accept
anything but a "real" instrument, they really appreciate the wide-range
of music that I offer, but some sorely miss hearing a real pipe organ.
(They have one, but the two organist-members don't care to play very
often anymore, and I can't manage the pedals due to a disability. I,
too, love hearing a good pipe organ and feeling the bass vibrate through
my feet.)
My goal is to build a series similar to some of the common, most
functional stops. But the hours are accummulating into a week's-worth,
and so far I'm happy with only a handful of my new D-bank programs and
just 2 or 3 combis. I have begun to study about pipes rather than trying
to rely on my ear and memory.
Are there any Macintosh applications which would help me?
If any readers are church musicians who use their i4S as the primary
instrument for accompanying hymns and performing preludes, etc., I'd be
very interested. There are some other things I'd like to run by you.
Thanks for one of the rare mailing lists which are productive and
interesting.
Bonnie
